A sense of faith and compassion for the less fortunate.

All these images doesn't just show a document of the life of Aetas in Capas. It's so much more than that. It’s a metaphysical testimony of humanity, faith and spirituality. It’s born from love and a connection to another human being. Me...and all these amazing Aetas that I met. It was a sunny Saturday morning when me and my friends pushed through volunteering for the annual Aeta Day, a project to help the Aeta community at Capas, Tarlac by giving gifts, free medical check-ups, dental mission, and free haircuts. We rode a (I don't know what it's called) truck, and traveled to the mountains where the Aetas reside. We picked them up and brought them to the foot of the mountain where the event will be conducted. After lunch, (not going to mention what we ate. Haha) we conducted different games for the kids, while their parents are having free medical check ups. Having to witness the sun set with them was a priceless experience. On the evening, the Aeta Cultural Night was held. 42 tribes showcased a variety of Native dances raging from intense war dances, to romantic wedding and courting dances. Seeing all their smiles and hearing all their giggles and laughs, I can't help thinking, how on earth do people get upset by not having enough money to buy a new dress for a date, or for not having the latest gadgets, when there's this Aeta community who are more than happy with less than what we have. If you're reading this, then you are more fortunate than majority of people in this country. And though your struggles are real, (believe me I know) they are the hopes and dreams of so many less fortunate than you. So the next time you're crying over your 'outdated' iPhone 4s, remember that the things you take for granted, someone else is praying for.
